This course is a three unit subject that will orient the students on the concepts and approaches for planning and implementing activities for effective property and resource management of public schools. It will also present the field implementers as well as our policy makers and stakeholders in the management of educational facilities that can be used for educational, research and development, monitoring and evaluation on physical facilities to serve as tools for effective decision making. Current theories and practices relating to recruitment, development, and appraisal of personnel will be covered. The course will examine specific personnel functions such as recruitment, selection, retention, and evaluation. Additional topics include conflict resolution, effective communication skills, managing the change process, and creating and maintaining a positive school environment.
