This course will provide students with the knowledge
on the basic operations of local government and administration. Using a variety
of materials, the students are expected to be able to trace the historical
development and operationalization of the Local Government Code. The students
are expected to be able to discuss the function of local government, duties of
local government officials, basis for election into office, local legislation
and mechanisms in the delivery of basic services. The end of goal of this
course is for students to present direction and solution to challenging issues
faced by the local government.
