Enrolment options

This is a three-unit course that focuses on the principles, development, and utilization of alternative forms of assessment in measuring authentic learning. It emphasizes on how to assess process and product-oriented learning outcomes as well as affective learning. Students will experience how to develop rubrics for performance- and product-based-assessment through learning opportunities that will allow them to (a) meet the program outcomes and standards of a beginning teacher; (b) develop the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking and problem solving, and creative thinking; and (c) be healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged.
